Jhonatan Serna
Physicist turned banker. Writing about technology, finance, philosophy, and what it means to be alive.
The short version
I studied physics. I work in banking. I spend most of my free time reading, thinking, and writing about things that fascinate me — technology, markets, consciousness, and the nature of existence.
This blog is a personal archive. I write to think clearly, to remember what I've learned, and to leave something behind. I have less than 100 years on this planet — probably much less — and I want to make the most of the time I have to understand it.
What I think about
My interests don't fit neatly into one box, which is probably why I started writing. Some of the things I keep coming back to:
- Technology — AI, software, the future of computing, and what it means for how we live and work.
- Finance — Markets, money, crypto, and how capital shapes the world and human behavior.
- Philosophy — Consciousness, existence, meaning, and the questions that don't have clean answers.
- Physics — The deep structure of reality, from quantum mechanics to cosmology.
Why "Strugen"?
It's a handle I've used for years. It doesn't mean anything in particular — it's just mine. You'll find me as strugen or strugen_eth across most platforms.
The other blog
I also write at Digital Psychedelics, which focuses more specifically on consciousness, physics, and the nature of reality. This blog is broader — more personal, more varied.
